This is the second movement of a double bass ensemble suite I wrote for Deep Tones For Peace 2020, put together by Mark Dresser and Fumiko Wellington.

This movement was written during the Covid-19 pandemic. As a bell eerily tolls, we are isolated from each other. Our clocks start to tick at slightly different tempos. Meter is lost, we relate to each other through relations of relations. But it still works, kind of.

This is Lo-fi Japanese Ambient Contrabass Music:
Lo-fi because it's homemade in my apartment in Brooklyn, street noise included.
Japanese because I'm Japanese.
Ambient because it's ambient.
Contrabass because that's the instrument I'm playing.
